Zoontalis - my daughter painted her Axolotls, I painted my foxes.

Easter holidaqy activity, Rach painted her Axolotls

I sculpted the bases for her (she wanted a water theme), applied inks before she highlighted and did the details on the eyes, the rest is entirely her work.

Look, salmon rose!

They are very much her favourite (this week) and gave my Platupuses a kicking on Thursday!

Meanwhile, I finished my guild of foxes

Feisty

These just ooze sneakiness

Recently, my friend David introduced myself and my daughter to Zoontalis. It's a fast play, four creature aside combat game. The rules are great, but the sculpts they produce are even better.

Rach has finished her next guild - Pandamonium!

All I did was add basing and tidy up after her.

Her choice of colours ties in nicely

These are going to be hard!

They go really well

My next two Guilds.
Perilous Platupuses and Raging Rabbits

Ready to go

Foxes to go for me, Axolotls and Pandas for Rach!

My 11 year-old, Rach, has painted her first guild. Tortoises.

I only offered technical advice, sculpted the bases and tidied up a couple of patches after.

All colour choices were her own

She has done an amazing job!

TMNT inspired too!

This is my first 'Guild' - The Rat Bags (an insult used in jest in my family when someone does something comically bad).
I also have the starter sets of Rabbits, Foxes and Platypusses to paint up, plus Rach has tortoises she wants to paint.

Each guild comes with a mage, a ranger, a thief and a warrior.

The random miniatures in my lead pile thread

Hi all, As the months go on, I am finding more random stuff that does not fit into any catagory is creeping it's way up to the surface of my lead mountain.  I decided a few years back, rather than just throw it back like one of Nobby's escaped socks, I would actually paint some of them   Mutant Zombie by CP Models Or just a mutant? Nota nice looking chap That's not going to clear up anytime soon! Nasty rash there Puss, but no boots   Thought Sharke needed some support, so when I ordered terrain from Alternative Armies, I added a certain Sergeant. He's a BIG unit! Blizkeig Commander IV - Hasty Assault

Mark and Stephen took my British at 1750 points, with effectively the same lists as before, but with two turns of preprogrammed artillery and a turn of smoke to assault my 1100 points of Germans who were in dugouts and gunpits. I chose to defend the four hills near my baseline. I has three HMGs, three mortars, two command teams and six infantry platoons, with two PAK36s teams. PAK36s and mortars on the back hill, two infantry and an HMG on the front. Infantry and Mortars in the left hill as a flank guard British stalled, turn 1 they failed to reach the table, so it took them at least four turns to advance. Artillery had landed on the right-hand hill, and rear hill, but had failed to kill anything, even with two 8 gun batteries of 25lbers . My ambush was sprung out the thicket. British infantry advancing developed an unfortunate habit of getting hit by mortars and HMGs. The British in turn 6 cleared the central hill with armour, but needed to get at least three infantry stand...
