15mm Breton light horse commission - Donnington Ancient and Modern

The chap who had me do the Spartans and Irish asked me to do a small batch of Donnington A&M Breton light horse. He will add his own basing. Enjoy Found the standard bearer I forgot! Oops! Again, I've tried to keep them 'muted', as if in 'no regular laundry service'. Chap on the far left, with his back to us, is a leader type. Top view "Here's the plan, ride up, chuck javelins, ride away." "Same as usual then!" "Yes, but make it look good!" "Oh, we can do that boss!"

15mm Early Medieval or Norse-Irish commission

They arrived and rather fun figures they were too. I painted them under the principle of the posher, the better the clothing .  Phil will do his own basing later. Starting off with the lowest of the low, the slingers. Back view Chaps with big choppers Back view. You can see I started adding plaid/tartan on this batch. Mixed weapon batch Back view Side on Slightly better clothed again Three at the back were figures that fell off their painting sticks! Avar cavalry for Hammy

A few Eastern cavalry types. Hammy asked me to sort some cavalry for him (after the Meerkats ) and these were Avars , a warrior horsemen race from modern Dagastan and the Caucasuses . The whole batch. Hammy will do his own basing. I added tradional Avar flags to their Kontos. The light horse. The heavy cavalry (plus one light) Random side view... Back view.
