 After finishing the Spartans , Phil (no, the other one) asked me to do some medieval Irish for him from the Donnington Ancient & Modern range .Always up for a challenge, I agreed. They arrived and rather fun figures they were too. I painted them under the principle of the posher, the better the clothing .  Phil will do his own basing later. A few Eastern cavalry types. Hammy asked me to sort some cavalry for him (after the Meerkats ) and these were Avars , a warrior horsemen race from modern Dagastan and the Caucasuses .
