Mounted Generals including King
The last 5 bases of Jinettes (one was already done in that last batch).
Spanish camp
Jinettes, two units and 1 extra stand that starts the third unit!
These caused my Tudors a LOT of agro yesterday!
There's just something about them though!
One unit to show off...
Rear view
Heavy knights
Thunderous hooves
They really look the buisness
I had enough figures left over to make these, the Spanish switched to mixed pike and firearm units early, and these are useful markers to show that.
Yes, I overdid it on the flags again!
Two foot generals
Well done if you spotted the Pendraken Tudor range Earl of Suffolk here
They work well
5 on the front rank, four in the back so they can switch between 'loose' and 'skirmish' formations.
Mounted handgunners
Top view, these are also flexibles
Arquibusiers
Flank close up
Rear view
Crossbow unit
Quite liking these
Rear view
Big guns!
Grand battery
Duck!
Busy battery
Handgun skirmishers
Side view
Back view
Skirmishing crossbows
Top view
Five units looking mighty
Sword and Buckler men (not entirely accurate for the period, but Lee loved the figures, and I enjoyed painting them).
Unit 1
Looking quite hard face on!
'Flexible' units, so less figures in the rear ranks so they can be swapped for the soliod front ranks when in terrain.
The all important trouser shot!
Second unit in loose formation
Love the effect they have
TROUSERS!
Both units deployed
Top view
Takes the army up to 4 units now... Feels like a lot more with the double sized pike keils.
Lee's Spanish pikes below.
Next 120 figures are done.
Spanish pikes
Side view
Only 20 flags this time
Top view, armour is later black armour for Spanish so they can be used in Renaissance gaming too.
There are another 15 painted, just need to decide on their basing
Rear ranks, just becuase I like the figures
Landscherneckt mercanary pike Keil
80 figures, 40 flags!

That takes me to 4749 figures for the year, of which 2382 were for myself. Nice way to finish.
Awesome. Who makes those figs? They are excellent. Im looking to make a ' not - Empire' army for 10mm. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteA great looking force 👍
ReplyDeleteAmazing army. Where did you get the flags?.
ReplyDeleteI researched the flags that would have been used historically, cut and pasted them into word. Nothing more difficult than that.
DeleteI may have to give that a go!.
