Wakandan reacquisition squad for Pulp Alley

Mort convinced me to do Pulp Alley, based round an East African/Saharan theme. I wanted to do something different. I could have done Hausa or Tuaregs, but I wanted a complete force that would be ready to roll. So, a brief search round, and I found and painted these. So, these are my Wakandan reacquisition squad.Tasked with travelling the world and recovering ancient artifacts plundered by oppressors. Led by Princess Ch'lanreah, her faithful bodyguard Bhi Nadduruzi, with three wardogs, Adazeh Tumbebo, S'yoma Usukla and N'Bube Meraba They look like a trade delegation, but pack a punch (hopefully) Ready to go for Wednesday

Mortal Gods: Mythic - Heroes of the Argo vs Hordes of Hades

Typhon lay back near the campfire,as the other Thespians picked away at the bones of the freshly roasted rabbit he had hunted earlier. Libations had been made to Artemis, but the rest had definitely been enjoyed by the warband. "Did I ever tell you about the time I fought against the Hydra, along side Jason and the Argonauts?" "I'm calling bull," Leandros laughed at the archer. Polykratos looked at the veteran archer and smiled wryly, "Typhon, we know you are an old fighter, but that's a legend." "Go on, spin your tale Typhon," Leandros chortled. David R and I met up for a game of Mortal Gods:Mythic, table fell like this, and we just went for a stand up fight. Dave's kit isn't all painted yet, so forgive him! Not all Jason's are goblins. The Hordes of Hades. More Skellies than you can shake a femur at, some are archers, a few temple guard, a priest, and A HYDRA! Atalanta, Typhon and my archers start by picking off a unit of ...

Order of The Stick miniatures - batch 2

2013, I bought some OOTS miniatures. Took me forever to paint them. Bascally, until 2018. Here they are, as a refresher Six years later, I started and finished the remaining six miniatures. Vaarsuvius, O'Chull and a second Blackwing. Kept the style simplistic Xykon, Red Cloak and a passing Hobgoblin Spell casters Back view Eyebrow action

Warhammer Old World: My Goblins vs Cliff's Dwarves.

Back to the 80s! Warhammer was my first rules set, all the way back in 1st edition. Always had a slight soft spot, as long as too many rules weren't too broken or suffered rules creep.  Last time I played anything like Warhammer Fantasy was the late 90s  and early to mid 00s when I used to play Warhammer Ancients .  But I had bought a batch of Goblins from a friend's son to play Dragon Rampant during Lockdown, and seeing several club mates playing 'Old World',  I was intrigued. I offered Cliff a fight. The choices were my Melnibonians (High Elf, but meaner) or the force of Gobbos languishing in the lead mountain. So far, the forces haven't had too much creep, so all good. So, with a couple of free days around Xmas, the Gobbos horde was painted. (To be fair, four units were ready, some of Kieran's, some of mine, some other units just needed expansion and others rebasing, others like the Squigs and archers were from scratch, but it was a fun project).  And w...

Xenos Rampant: Commanche and unlikely allies vs Weird War 2 Werewolf Germans

WARNING, THOSE OF A NERVOUS DISPOSITION, LOOK AWAY NOW, THIS BATTLE REPORT MAY CONTAIN UNBASED MODELS!  Last Wednesday, Mark and I got together for a game or two of Xenos Rampant, we both decided to pick forces BEFORE choosing our scenarios, as it makes for some interesting games (in the rules, you are allowed to alter your forces to suirt the scenario, which is a thoroughly civilised thing to do if you ask me). Mark chose to use his Weird War 2 Germans, (3 Greater Xenomorphs, 2 squads of elite infantry - all with no upgrades. I used my Commanche /Skraelings (based on Prey) with a few viking allies! HQ Naru - Primative infantry, armour, combat medic 3 x 15 figure Primative infantry mobs with primative shooting. 1 x Vikings 10 Berserker infantry, heavy armour, boarding shields, unarmed. Scenario 1: Convoy Escort We rolled a random scenario and got Convoy Escort!!! Neither force was geared up for that, so we rolled a dice, and I was escorting the trucks (it would have made sense if...
