House Martell for A Game of Ice and Fire to add to my collection.

House Martell - the house I always said I would use in ASOIAF. Lighter, more skirmishy, more hit and run than the Knight's Watch. Cheaper combat units (mostly), but a lot more NCUs that work very differently. Should be fun.

Last two figures from House Martell Heroes 2 set.
Gerold Dayne and Arianne Martell

They've been on my painting table since the summer, just never been in the right mood, until now...

Just the archers to do now.

Many cloaks

Interesting poses

More cloaks

Dervishes

Deadly, sometimes

Quite a bit of animation in these

Just the archers and two more heroes to go.

Think my phone camera is on the way out - unless anyone can suggest a way to clean teh lens!

Prince {Doran Martell}, Prince of Dorne, and a Dervish that I picked up by mistake

Starfall Knights - heavy hitter, but not as heavily armoured as other knights, but still something to make your opponent worry!

Charge!

Players' view

Fast moving, heavy hitting, guard cavalry

Starfall Outriders, lighter cavalry that have flanking and healing functions

Skirmish types

Even faster, even lighter

Extra characters and a unit for my Night's Watch

Cold Hands, big role in the books, left out the TV series

Not often you have to google "elk colours"

Eddard Stark, Craster, Gilly and Samwell Tarly

Gilly adds some much needed colours to the force!

Night's watch attachments from a friend (thanks John)- Ranger veteran, veteran captain and builder captain/character, all useful unit boosters

Night's Watch Rangers

And dog hair!

Patrol underway

Quick, look that way!

Part of my TOIL haul from Boards and Swords Hobbies , a Night's Watch starter set and a Ranger Vangard booster for A Song of Ice and Fire
Already played one game and won!

Ranger trackers - light cavalry

Inevitable top view

Mobile and shooty, not the best combat troops, but that's not what they're used for.

Ranger Vangaurds, heaier cavalry, and get to flank march, which allows you to sneak up on enemy units where they are very effective when attacking from teh side or rear

To quote Lego Batman, "I only work in black, or really, really dark grey!"

Certainly moody

Sworn brothers of the watch, a tasty and very decent combat unit

It's artifical fur

You get two units of these, one was enough to deal some major hurts on Thursday!

And even harder than the Sworn Brothers are the vetrans of the Watch

These come with a couple of cool abilities, opponents get a -1 to his and they cause a hit for every miss your opponent rolls

Ghost the Direwolf

If Ghost is the runt...

Watch heores, Jon Snow bottom left (no, not the news reader)

Measter Aemon about to fall over?

Soldiers of Napoleon - French Imperial Guard vs Austrians - bad day to be a hussar.

Whilst down in Wiltshire for the Devizes comp, Nigel very kindly gifted me his 10mm Imperial Guard division from FOGN (Field of Glory Napoleonics), and although I had rebased the cavalry and generals (including painting some), the guard themselves were not finished. I scrabbled together a 900 Soldiers of Napoleon list (which turns out to be illegal, read the rules Will), and fielded it Vs Mark's undefeated Austrians. My army, including reserves, was twelve units and Mark could basically do that in two brigades! My list : Two brigades of two five Old Guard infantry, with two twelve pounders and full cassions. Guards Heavy cavalry brigade. Five Grenadiers a Chevel. Five Guards Dragoons. Three batteries of 8lber guns. Guards light cavalry brigade. Four Guards lancers, four Guards Chasseurs a Chevel. Three batteries of three 8lber guns. Mark had: An Avent Guard brigade with hussars, artillery, jagers and two infantry units, two dragoons with horse artillery as his cavalry brigade,An in...
