County Tops  Number 16: Billinge Hill, Merseyside 24-02-2025, 179m Walk technicalities * View **** Company ***** Overall 9/10     Driing North along the M6, and in need of a break, I had spotted Billinge Hill on a previous trip as being nearby, after asking Mike Chris McAlpine  and Craig, all who are more local than I about it, I had contacted Pete, a fellow wargamer, how also enjoys a good hill. We met on a nearby road, donned boots and headed up. It's an interesting one. Not that big, but full of massive character. The view from teh top is a proper 360 of Merseryside, Manchester and South Lancs, actually really impressive. Pete and I sent a long time picking out sights, such as Bolton's stadium, the Blackpool Tower, various loclal hills, Wales and more. Looking North-East towards Pete's stomping ground.
