Warhammer Old World: High Elves vs Dwarves

Last Wednesday, Cliff and I reconvened at Leighton Buzzard Wargames Club to have another bash at Warhammer: Old World. This time, I was using my High Elves/Melnibonians. This is my old army of choice, which hasn't seen daylight since 1999/2000, and is made up of units that date back to the 80s (apart from The Shadow Warriors, which are 1990s vintage) and are the type of High Elves that give Dark Eles a bad name. I had lots of option sto choose from (especially as I found I had waaaaaay more foot and cavalry than I remembered, so I went with 15 x archers, 9 x Shadow Warriors, 20 x Swordmasters of Hoeth, 9 x Silver Helms, 10 x reavers, an eagle, an eagle claw bolt thrower, Prince (Elric) Army standard bearer on horseback (with Silver Helms) and Riotla Snow (with Shadow Warriors) and a lvl 2 mage, all with lots of magical equipment. It was a lot of shooty power, just to try it out I guess. I was up against Cliff's dwarfs, unchanged apart from he dropped the miners, and took a war...

Splattermore Ravens Vampire Blood Bowl team.

My xmas present from the Amazing Mrs Lemmey, a Blood Bowl vampire team already used once https://madlemmey.blogspot.com/2025/02/blood-bowl-splattermore-ravens-vs.html , but not based up. The Splattermore Ravens. Again, camera not working well, so blurry, but then, they don't like bright lights! Thralls Pale and interesting No names, just blood groups Vamps Really heavy hitters Back view Tana in motion   Turn markers, coins, and balls

10mm Early Medieval Welsh Commission

10mm , but not from the holy forges of Pendraken. The request was for light and bright. Yet again, my camera would not focus on these, but you get the idea. Archers Rear view Javelinmen Back view Cavalry - mix of light and heavy Heavy foot

Elwing's Elven cavalry and Riotla Snow - Really old High Elves

1985 High Elf cavalry - Regiment of Renown - Elwing's Elven cavalry RR10 I bought four off my friend Luke in the 90s, and my painting was never as good as his, even now. Heavy horse, big plumes, not pointy heads. The whole unit (until I get the extra figures of the musician and champion to finish it all off) Found 6 extras, including Elwing himself for not ebay prices. Back view Riotla Snow - based on the painted one by Phil Lewis Yet, I cannot get her into focus at all.

1864 Danes 10mm Pendraken

10mm Pendraken 1864 Danish forces . . Guard Hussars - after 4 years on the pile of shame.   Look good, not sure how well they will fight! Snowy bases are a must Pelisse a go-go FINALLY got these painted, after buying them in 2015 I only started them on Sunday, so not bad for 198 figures. Reason for it is I said I would host a PBEM on Wednesday, and I needed the figures for Dybbol . Five infantry units, I know these are some of the older sculpts in the catalogue, but it's only the standard bearer and musician that feel like the older types. Rear view Dragoons and Hussars - also unlikely to appear on Wednesday! Dragoons Hussars - with their lovely sculpted Pelisse, there is another unit coming soon, honest! Artillery, more on order General staff Not all will be used, but certainly some will have a hard time! Big batch.
