Test of Honour - First game. Take the bridge

Wednesday - Leighton Buzzard. Neil kindly took me through the Test of Honour rules. It's similar to Mortal Gods.

Neil's terrain is beautiful. My single building sits off, left. We went for a stand up fight, Neil arrived at the riverlet first, but found it uncrossable apart from at the bridge (random rol;).

My force, (borrowing Neil's cards) three Samurai of different types, and four units of Ashugaru: two spear, one archers, one arquibusiers - 23 points. Sure there is a way of getting it to 24...
Neil had two samurai, two spear armed Ashugaru, two archers and a shooter too.

My shooting forces escort the fighting types in. My battleworn samurai is behind the shrine center-left,

My first shot, the dice are slightly different to Mortal Gods (no wild/pegasus for instance). I got hits, but Neil also saved loads more.

My Battleworn Samurai took a series of serious hits from shooting here.

Passed his 'Test of Honour', but took an arm injury. -1 attack dice. Drat!

The action quickly developed into a brawl over the bridge, shoing back and forth with the five Samurai doing the bulk of the fighting. Neil's dice were on fire, mine were dreadful!

My three samurai all picked up injuries, while Neil's two were unscathed. I did more damage charging with my spear armed Ashugaru and poking oer the parapets!

Neil brought his spear armed Ashugaru up, but didn't need to worry. His two Samurai were carving through mine!

With all three Samurai out of action vs one of Neil's the game went to him. Great fun, will definitely play again.

Warhammer Old World - Goblins vs Empire, Batlle of The Hilly Hill

"Oi, where's the rest of the army?" Stumpy Jason turned round to the musician Thumpy Jason. "We's only playing 1000 points!" "Oh right. But why are there more Empire 'ooomans than us then?" the Goblin Wolfrider capatin pondered. Mort and I met up for a game of Warhammer Old World. I chose my Goblins, with only 1000 points. This led to me taking a unit of spears, with the army standard, a unit of archers, a spear chucker and some wolf riders. A level 1 mage, my general on a giant squig and Stumpy Jason rounded out my selection. I was tooled up with magic standards and characters, so half my points were tied up in characters. Mort had two units of mounted pistolliers, a spear unit, two detachments , one of handgunners, one of halbardiers, and a small unit of knights. Two characters were embedded in his spears and one pistolliers, and a mage strode forwards with the halbardiers. My wolves and general went left, archers, spears, bolt chucker and...

Mortal Gods - Three Sided scrap - finding the treasure.

Typhon woke up, his head was banging, and there would definitely be a new scar on hi sarm... "Nice to see you can take a knock too!" Leandros looked over at the archer. Polykratos sat on a nearby boulder, helmet and shield at his feet, sword bloodied, he was smiling at his two fellow fighters. "Nice to see you two sleepy heads. By the way, we won! Spartans and Etruscans all sent packing, treasures secrured!" Dave, David and I met up for a game of Mortal Gods. Mark was meant to be joining us, but he had to call off. This is only a quick report, as we were haing too much of a laugh! Six objecties were scattered across the field, which you have to find and hold until the end of turn 5. One would go live on a roll of '6', if an action was expended on it. The others then are empty. Three sides means two corners and an edge. 450 points each. I was nearest, Dave the other corned, David the opposite edge.My standard warband took to the field, with their eyes firmly...
