Soldiers of Napoleon - Bataille du Ruisseau

Mark and I gt together for a game of Soldiers of Napoleon.  Been a while since we played, but great fun to get a game on table again. Never have a bad game with these rules. Mark was using 15mm, me 10mm, but who cares, a unit is a unit! The table, never seen it so Spartan, a stream, and a small copse. This is not good when you are facing Mark who likes to bring at least four artillery batteries, two with full cassions special rules, so lots of rerolls and most of them are 12 pounders, so extra long range. No where to hide or break up sight lines. Good news is, I have The Imperial Guard! They can stand up to almost anything - apart from a cannonball to the face. Which is what Mark 's forces specialise in!  Both of us picked 'Steady Advance', so meet in the middle and beat each other up, what's not to like!  Mark, being an 'Avent Garde' user, used deployement 6, 'Screen' which pushes a brigade really far forwards, while I went with 3, 'Flanks Forwards...

Bulking out my 1806 Prussians in 15/18mm

Since the days of Lasalle 1st edition, I have been meaning to bulk out my ever-victorious 1806 Prussians* from Principles of War. *Seriously, they have never lost a game! It's like Bloodbowl Halflings - you never expect them to do well, so anything positive is a miracle. Two more sets of 1806 Prussians - two more sets of blurry pictures Jagers Top view Firing line Back view Take aim Grenadiers Hold on, Grenadiers don't skirmish? Back view Embedded in their units      After years of sitting on the painting desk, I did these from scratch - Fusilliers    A more mixed variety of poses, including extra musicians, as they will be in looser formation and skirmishing in front of my main Prussian columns. Marching to certain... something? Line will fire... Top view Present1 Hussars! Embedded in their home units Got to love Hussars! Charge! (What else will hussars do?) Run away!   Yellows...

1809 Austrian Napoleonics in 10mm - rebased infantry for 'Soldiers of Napoleon'

After a game of Soldiers of Napoleon using my Austrians, I decided that I do really need to put them on the same sized bases as my French and Prussians, as well as my clubmates bases.   Eight artillery batteries rebased, another four to go. Boom!   Hungarian infantry units, another unit of Austrian line, and the short unit at the rear is the Grenz, rebased. Single bases are the 'spares' Just waiting for more flock before I post pictures of the rebased artillery, of which 8/12 are completed.   First six units My usual view This many spare bases, I might need some command figures to make these into extra units. That's at least two extra units there Two more infantry unkits and the artillery next, eventually...   Lockdown conversation with Matt - are we going to playtest the new MeG inspired Napoleonics? Yeah, why not! I thought on this, Matt is doing the Confederation of The Rhine in 10mm, ...
