Brighton et Gloriam MeG 500BC-200AD Game 3 vs James & Ancient British

This was James McMeiken's first competition, he was doing well, after chasing Jason round the  table and had smacked Robin around a bit too! So, is it Ancient British with Roman allies, or Romans with a British delivery system? Those exceptionals will be a tough nut to crack! Beautifully painted army by James! Deployment, back inn out comfortable desert, or was it on the sands of the beach? James had an area of rocky ground, a wood, and all my terrain stuff fell in the sea! The armies close quickly, his legionarii lead the way, with his cavalry flank pinning to my right. I advanced my two small average legions to pin the British hordes, while my superior troops move to take on the better Imperial Romans. Our lines form up, who will bow or break first? Legions clash with legions. Brighton et Gloriam, MeG Tournement. 10000 points, the intro!

This last weekend in January saw the first MeG competition at the Dice Saloon in Brighton. Great venue, well worth a visit if you ever end up down there. A well stocked store, with plenty of good rooms for many games in their library, good food and drink, and also a video game area too. It was a popular set up, very friendly. Top all round. Sixteen of us had entered, and there was a fair mix of armies. Unfortunately, a shelving disaster had knocked out one player already, so Simon Cook our glorious umpire and organiser had to bravely step up and play with his Ptolemaics. Ade Nash with his Mid Republican Romans is also missing off this list too. My list, it may be rewritten when I get time, effort, or motivation... The draw was published while I was getting run over by Mark's Romans on Thursday night (Ade would play Simon round 1), and what do you know, my old sparring partner, rival, nemesis and friend, Nigel was my first opponent!  Seeing as I was list check...
