Melee on the Mosaic of Madness - Burrows and Badgers bust up

"You know, it really is a magnificent piece of art." "Even if it does have those weird, fantastical, hairless apes." "'What age is it?" "Somewhere over a thousand years old they think, a lost civilization left it." "Quite formidable." "You know what's really stunning? The way that blood just washes straight off it!" The Clappersgate Company was sharing a bottle of port while learning on the fencing around the huge and ancient mosaic in the village of Koomb Stonesfield. The mood amoungst the Company was upbeat, wounds had been suffered, but everyone had come through the latest fight okay, even Pebbles who had been knocked unconscious. "Still, a win is a win," muttered Sir C'astle. "Arriving early to see it, after a night kipping in a barn, great idea, especially as they don't uncover it that often." Martyn added. "Someone must have told the Royalist gang of Black Bobby we were coming. W...

Burrows and Badgers - a showdown at the Garden of Earthly delights

Sitting in the 'Osprey's Arms', the Clappersgate Company sullenly sipped their drinks. This surely would cause more headaches than were currently round the table, but after today, that was not many! Each beast looked around, almost afraid to break the silence. On the other side of the bar a group of stoats and ferrets were raucously celebrating a stagbeetle night, while two otters were trading something in another corner. "What are we doing wrong?" Alk sniffed his 'apple juice' suspiciously, "I think I will order some boiling water for my tea. We had a contract to search and retreive certain items left in the Garden of Earthly delights, and thankfully, we got straight onto this as we visited it." "Pebbles and I struck lucky almost immediately." Martyn the mouse mage g...

Burrows and Badgers - a fur, sorry, four sided witch hunt!

"Well, that certainly did not go to plan!" "Really! Well, that's one definition of it." The Clappersgate Company were the only occupants of the chapel, which was dimly lit by torches flickering in sconces in the whitewashed walls. In the centre, surrounded by petals of wild flowers, lay Alk, the fenic fox. They had dressed him in his best robes, and the few religious items of his far-off land were laid upon him. The gang had carefully cleaned the blood off him, and now he lay at rest. The company, the only mourners, sat, spread out on the various sized pews of the Chapel, each quietly contemplating what had just happened. "That contract was ours, bring in the witch, dead, simple." Flash the kingfisher shook his head as he looked at the fallen warrior. "The day had dawned clear and warm, we followed Alk approaching the ruins, only to find him reporting three other gangs had approached the area too," moaned Martyn the mage mouse. "The Necr...
