Burrows and Badgers - Fox 🦊 Force in a four sided scrap

Looking out over a valley, a small settlement nestled below them. Three dog foxes lay in the sunshine while two Vixens sat, back to them, looking at the view
"It was a nice little village that," the Ranger tossed a pebble down the hill.
"Pity three other gangs thought the same" the scared vixen mage grinned.
"The badgers, yuck, four of them!"
"It was the Royalists of der Valk's Persuaders.that did the hurt to us though," the Mage ignited the falling pebble, then froze it in mid-air with a flick of her paws.

"They were a tough bunch those  Dutch Royalists, at least three zweihanders, one being an otter," the Ranger mused

"Think my noble brother was more concerned about the badgers coming in from our left. The Brockton Militia was holding a grudge against us," the Mage pointed a withered hand back at the three snoring fox warriors, some with what appeared to be plasters on fresh cuts and scratches.

"They should have ignored them, the Barbaric Pedestrians were after them," the Ranger grinned.

"The church was a decent amount of cover, thankfully as we investigated," the Mage added, twiddling the pebble in mid-air.

"We all saw the Brocktown captain closing on Honey the hound from the Barbarics. Pity the dog was already berserk. Never a good idea going one-to-one with a screaming killer like that!" The Ranger looked at the pebble, "How do you do that?"

"A gift I suppose?" The Mage winked, a mad gleam sparking " Our friendly rogue-come-tank decided to solo against a great weapon welding badger, think it was only his magic shield that stopped him becoming one with the grass so early."

"The Barbarics were quickly moving up raptors to help out their boss as the Militia threw in another badger and tried to hit them with crossbow bolts; a nasty combination indeed," the Ranger picked up another pebble, testing it's weight in her hand.

"Just love that the frog could duck under the kites's wing to get involved though!" The Ranger drew her hand back, narrowing her yellow eyes.

"Brave of our spear armed comrade.." another knowing wink backwards towards one of the recumbent male foxes, "to charge der Valk's Persuaders boss otter, landed a really impressive blow, almost took out their leader in one hit!" The Mage has now started to spiral her pebble upwards, as it changed colour, the Ranger duely watched, tracking.

"The omens from the North were not good, one of the Northern Lords sent his emissary to observe!"

"Those two Brocktown warriors were taking a beating from the Barbarics, ganging four up on two, clever" the ranger flicked her wrist and her pebble flew downwards towards the Mage's. "The Militia did not hang round after that!"

'THWACK!' the pebbles collided and sparked away, eliciting a wry smile from both Vixens. "Great shot! The captain went down hard, Honey was barely scratched." The Mage looked up.

"Others of us have different gifts. His badger grunt fellow did not last long too, damn that hound is hard!" The Ranger groaned, "Glad we avoided them."

"Unfortunately, we did not account for those der Valk's Persuaders. having a light mage who was a healer, it basically took that otter straight to full health," the Mage groaned, "not their having a cavalier armed shooter, I was nearly out in one hit."

"Our protection was soon taken down, who knew that otter was a berserker too, with a great sword and strength, the result was inevitable I suppose "
"Boys!"
"Annoying, we could have used the coin for taking out their leader," the Mage shrugged, and two battered pebbles circled themselves heading back up above the sheep nibbled grass of the slope below.

"You brother did a good job dropping that squirrel in one go though, wonder why if didn't have armour?" The Ranger pondered, snatching the two pebbles out the air

"Too bad the Barbarics were so far away, they took their time heading towards us both, but we were in trouble," the Mage nodded, " we underestimated these Northern gangs."

"Good thing the badgers had legged it, before both your brother and our rogue were knocked down. The der Valk's Persuaders backed away quickly, and we were basically beaten." The Ranger shrugged, juggling the pebbles

"Do you think those three will be alright?" The rogue enquired, looking over her shoulder.

"They'll have stinking headaches, and our spear armed friend might carry that niggling injury for a while, but we've plenty in the bank and a mission to take North, plus the Barbarics have started the stray into the territory of the Free eats of the Well of Ashes. I've already let their archmage know, she's not a happy otter!" The Mage grinned one more time and as if signalling her talking time was over, placed her mask back on her heavily scared face, "Give them a kick and wake them up, time to keep moving "

Hi all, As the months go on, I am finding more random stuff that does not fit into any catagory is creeping it's way up to the surface of my lead mountain. Legion Imperialis 8mm - Civitas ruins boxed set.

Terrain box (Civitas ruins) painted up Honestly took me longer to build it than it did to paint! But there may be a reason for that Someone needs a word with their structural surveyor! I mean, the build quality here is awful. At least the marines will have somewhere to hide It's about an A3 of ruined stuff It's been trashed Comes with a lot of scatter  The rest of the club was doing it, so I had to do it!  Looking through the various Legions from the Horus Herasy, I decided...
