What weird eggs are these?

And one is already open, which means...

Hold on, I'll just check the database...

Errr, guys...

There's a lot of blips...

Another twelve of them!

I've got them on monitor...

They've breached the wall...

They're coming this way!

We can't stop them!

+++Transmition ends+++

Four more crates.
Because...

Leaping to capture new victims

Eeep!

A pair of high tech computer terminals

Living in electric dreams...

Sure my Uni had these as high tech in the 90s.

Peek, poke, bytes and ram!

Supply boxes, hopefully with something useful inside.

A & B guns, UA 571-C Automated Sentry Gun

Special edition anyone?

Dakka dakka

"It's wall to wall in there man!"

Got hold of the 'In The Pipe, Five-by-Five' expansion.
So, here we go, Ferro and Spunkmeyer.

Pistols vs Aliens, not going to end well.

Useful that the name the bases, allows you to identify the bodies...

Pew?

The four named and different warriors, the Guard, Brute, Sulker and Scout, just gives you a bit of variety.

Interesting poses

Waiting

And Ferro's spare head

Four more alien drones from the original set. Well, I needed all eight for last night's game.

Takes it up to 20 aliens now. In motion

Tail swish...

Charge

Odds on the black guys

Was up at Boards and Swords the other week, and after playing a fair amount of 'Xenos Rampant', I noticed Rob & Manny had a copy of the "get away from her you B****!" expansion.
Which includes 'enraged' Ripley - i.e. Ripley with Newt, Ripley in Power Loader, Bishop being normal and half a Bishop!
It also included the Alien Queen, Greater Xenomorph anyone!

Power Loader and Queen

Back view, the yellow has worked really well

From above

Bishop and half-a-Bishop!

He's a bit of a mess!

I can remote pilot the dropship.

Bald patch?

Back off

And now something really scary (yes, the time it took to assemble them)

They're in the walls...

Oh heck!

They come at night, mostly

One of those 'I'll never use it but I need it' purchases. Huge fan of Aliens, and I've been eyeing up the Marines set that very sensibly they sell separate from the new Aliens board game. Saying that, I did use them on Wednesday when Cliff at the LB club brought his first edition copy of 'Space Hulk' down and we played it properly!

The heroes of Hadley's Hope

Apone, Hicks and Deitrich

'Eat this!'

Bases come pre sculpted with names too

Weisbowski, Crowe, Hudson and Frost

Team of ultimate badarses!

The camo nearly sent me blind!

Vasquez and Drake

Love the animation on these two

Drake was a nightmare to assemble, all the rest were a dream

Gorman and Burke

One a man out of his depth, the other a nasty little toad

Newt and Ripley

Newt's sculpt is soooo cute

And here they are in action on Wednesday, Three of us played 4 games, it was hilarious!

The random miniatures in my lead pile thread

Hi all, As the months go on, I am finding more random stuff that does not fit into any catagory is creeping it's way up to the surface of my lead mountain.  I decided a few years back, rather than just throw it back like one of Nobby's escaped socks, I would actually paint some of them   Mutant Zombie by CP Models Or just a mutant? Soldiers of Napoleon - Imperial Guard vs Austrians.

Mark and I met up for a game at Leighton Buzzard Wargames Club. My Imperial Guard vs his Austrians, but he had taken an earlier list (1806), whereas mine was back to 1811. This time saw the first fielding of my new Young Guard. My plan was to adance the guard through the two villages, one brigade had deployed forwards in the centre to accomplish this; then swing in from the left with the Gauard Heay Cavalry brigade. Unfortunately, Mark had other ideas! He had deployed with his cavalry brigade screening forwards. Then it all really went his way. Soldiers of Napoleon has three things you can do on each card, an amount of units that can move, a rally state and special events. Sometimes, the cards fall absolutely how you want them to, sometimes, they don't. Turn one and Mark had been dealt two sets of 'At the quick' special event cards, allowing a march and then a manouver (or vice versa) for three units. Exactly the amount of cavalry units in his brigade! Combined with a ...
