The Bridge, The Slave Trader. Scenarios for Burrows and Badgers

The bridge is down!  Repairs are needed to make it passable, however the local landowner has absconded with the cash to repair it, this might be an opportunity to make both some cash and rebuild your reputation with the local populous.   Terrain : A river with a broken bridge on a road crosses the centre of the table, and each player has a wood pile 15" from the bridge, The rest of the terrain should provide some cover on the approach.    Warbands and Deployment Zones : Lowest warband rating deploys first. Each character may deploy 2" in.   Special Rules :  Swimmers can cross the river by swimming, as can fliers. It takes two animals to carry a plank (unless massive) moving at slowest speed. It costs a character one action to pick up or place down a plank. Once both characters have picked up, they can move as a team based on the pair's slowest move. While they are carrying, they cannot fight or shoot while holding planks, but may dodge and parry. D...

Burrows and Badgers: The Slaver.

Berry reclined on the short, nibbled, grass with a goblet of L'Otter's finest wine in his hand, looking down on the 'Weasel's Arms' Inn, as the sun set behind him and the first stars twinkled in the dusk. He sipped the wine and grinned to himself through his scars. Today had been a good day, and he was enjoying a rare moment to himself in the twilight. They had arrived at the village mid-afternoon to find the slaver rounding up the locals, who were tied up and their possession heaped on the cart. On the other side of the village Big Yin and his gang had also heard the news and were joining in the quest to deal with the Slaver, well, maybe to liberate the cart and the Slaver's cash first. Four of the locals were caught, that was not fair! Slavers were not meant to take from the local population, but this was not the first time, as Berry knew. The Slaver was a huge wildcat with a weasel and two mice as lackys, all armed with wicked blades. Berry felt his blood b...

A Billion Suns - first trial game.

"We call to order ths shareholders meeting to discuss the events at Crusiouses I." "Oh please do get on with it, I have a business to run!" "It has come to our attention that you purposely use company resources to attempt to gain a foothold in the system, and that during the course of events, it cost the company 17 credits. Care to explain yourself?" "Nope. Now go away!" "As shareholders, under the company mandate and charter, we have the right to reiew the CEOs actions on all dealings that cost the company money, as stated in section 5, paragraph 17, subsection C" "Are you honsetly telling me you have read the charter that far?" "Indeed we have." "You really should read Section 18 paragraph 9, subsection Q then" *Off camera rustling* "The CEO is entitled to free ice-cream at the company canteen on a Tuesday?" "Pistachio this week." "That is hardly relevant, now returning to the ma...

10mm Dacians from Pendraken.

i's original list had two units of light horse. Here's the second... And we are DONE! Light foot unit armed wth javelins completed for the army. Only 4 to a base shows they are skirmishers I think they work okay! They arrived on the Friday, and I had them painted and ready to go on teh Saturday morning! Mean and moody! Did not lose them once on their first weekend out either   Dacian main units finished for Si now, only need to do an extra light horse and some foot skirmishers now. This lot nearly broke me, but they work well as a more colourful 'elite' pair of units compared to the previous warriors. It's a lot of slicing and dicing Slightly blurry, but shows the mass well. Top view Sarmatian mounted archers, great sculpts Phil! One more unit of these to do! Love their mounted mob effect Superior lancers (The guy at the back has a broken lance, but it is firmly glued in place and I liked the effect! It's a big mass I think they look the buisness Rear view, red ...
