Burrows and Badgers - Hold the booty!

Mal looked round through a haze of medication, as he came round in the medical beds of good ship 'The Tranquility' as it slowly moved through the sea.
"What... How... Yeah."
Zoe looked across from the other bunk, "Afternoon, Captain, glad to see you breathing on your own again."
Simon Taan, the newt doctor on the Glowworm class ship, looked up from his notes, "Don't be going standing up too quickly Captain, I would appreciate not having to repair those stitches."
"Just be reminding me, what in the name of all that is shiny happened out there?" The weasel captain propped himself up on one elbow to look up, wincing slightly.
A pair of grey whiskers poked round the doorframe, the newest crewmember followed through, the water vole, Reverend Goatherd Brook, brought fresh drinks, "Locating and securing that loot in the ruins, then counting it before moving it on the 'Tranquility', delayed us loading."
"Noted, next time count AFTER loading!" Zoe groaned from her bunk.

"That allowed Toad and his band to be sneaking up on us," Jayne, the shrew mercenary, muttered from the other side of the door.

From a set of steps leading to a gantry looking down to the medical room above. River Taan, the mage and sister of the newt doctor, and Inaara, the white mouse archer, sat on the top steps, Inaara elbowed the newt and grinned, "Hardly sneaking Jayne, when they were waving a goram huge flag around, or a badger wearing every colour under the rainbows."

The reverend nodded, "Mr Toad did bring himself to your attention I noted Jayne."
"Well, I had had here Vera upgraded and wanted to try her out, and she was good." The shrew smirked.

"She was so good, I just could not miss!" Jayne almost purred, "his legs were taken right out from under him.".
"Nor could your fireballs, River," Inaara smiled kindly.
"I like the bright lights!"

The reverend Goatherd Brook looked at the ladies, "with Mr Toad down, our main worry was that Badger."

"You be taking on a badger, only an idiot would be doing that," Jayne shook his head while polishing parts of Vera, his long gun, "Specially after it took down Zoe here."

"That was right ungentlemanly of him," Mal muttered, "I do hope I was suitably courageous defending you?"
"Very," Zoe laughed, "although my husband might be jealous."

Jayne looked proud, "Was glad to get involved in the hand-to-hand, Ratty was harder, but the Stoat was down." The rifle was now reassembled and clicked as Jayne tested it.

"With you out the fight," the Goat heard Brook noted to Mal "we decided it was time together out of there."

Mal looked up, "So, we lost?"
"We may have lost the battle, but we really lucked out on the loot, enough for two sets of light armour and two pistols." Zoe added, "My husband, Wash, will be joining us next time for fun and manly excitement too."
"So, by my understanding, we lost the fight, but because Zoe and I both recovered, and we came out with another member of the group, more cash, more skills and more equipment?"
"I have heard that Toad's leg was so badly shattered, he died of complications, while the stoat was robbed of all his goods." Simon Tann smirked.
"That's nothing," Inaara grinned "you might want this Mal?" handing him a long, wrapped pacakage "I found it on a wrecked ship."
"Why thanking you, what ever does it do?" Mal enquired.
"You'll never guess," Inaara laughed.
"It's a +3 two-handed sword of venom!" River walked off.
"She takes all the fun out of it..."

Warhammer Old World - Goblins vs Empire, Batlle of The Hilly Hill

"Oi, where's the rest of the army?" Stumpy Jason turned round to the musician Thumpy Jason. "We's only playing 1000 points!" "Oh right. But why are there more Empire 'ooomans than us then?" the Goblin Wolfrider capatin pondered. Mort and I met up for a game of Warhammer Old World. I chose my Goblins, with only 1000 points. This led to me taking a unit of spears, with the army standard, a unit of archers, a spear chucker and some wolf riders. A level 1 mage, my general on a giant squig and Stumpy Jason rounded out my selection. I was tooled up with magic standards and characters, so half my points were tied up in characters. Mort had two units of mounted pistolliers, a spear unit, two detachments , one of handgunners, one of halbardiers, and a small unit of knights. Two characters were embedded in his spears and one pistolliers, and a mage strode forwards with the halbardiers. My wolves and general went left, archers, spears, bolt chucker and...

Mortal Gods - Three Sided scrap - finding the treasure.

Typhon woke up, his head was banging, and there would definitely be a new scar on hi sarm... "Nice to see you can take a knock too!" Leandros looked over at the archer. Polykratos sat on a nearby boulder, helmet and shield at his feet, sword bloodied, he was smiling at his two fellow fighters. "Nice to see you two sleepy heads. By the way, we won! Spartans and Etruscans all sent packing, treasures secrured!" Dave, David and I met up for a game of Mortal Gods. Mark was meant to be joining us, but he had to call off. This is only a quick report, as we were haing too much of a laugh! Six objecties were scattered across the field, which you have to find and hold until the end of turn 5. One would go live on a roll of '6', if an action was expended on it. The others then are empty. Three sides means two corners and an edge. 450 points each. I was nearest, Dave the other corned, David the opposite edge.My standard warband took to the field, with their eyes firmly...
