10mm Franco Prussian War French 1st Corps 1st Division

Started this project in 2013, 10 years later the infantry for 1st Corps are finished. The cavalry and Corps artillery have been despatched, thanks Leon at Pendraken. Will move onto 2nd Division 3rd Corps by about 2034 at this rate!

Anyway...
1st Division, done!

My basing and labelling, originally for Volley and Bayonet, now Corps/divisional scale Black Powder (insert 'if I could do it again I would change...' comments)

Advance!

My view

The details are what takes the time ion a batch this size. Hand painted flags and the backpacks took about a day each!

Support assests from 8th & 9th Cuirassiers from the cavalry division and 99th Infantry from 7th Corps

Allows me to think about running Worth as a battle

One day I will field all the corps I own (French I  now have the Guard, 1st, 2nd, 4th & parts of 5th and 7th)

But I still love FPW!

PDF here They are the main antagonsits of the campaign, and genuinely nasty pieces of work! I moved the arm pose on Krell to give him some depth For c£20 they are lot bigger, and a damn sight more affordable, that the price the originals go for on ebay!   Three (maybe two, one is a mou...

Yes, the camera is knackered... Top view, one for Frostgae period, the other to join my ECW Scots Blurry When the back view is the least blurred... Shot putt or hammer?   Mutant Zombie by CP Models Or just a mutant? Nota nice looking chap That's not going to clear up anytime soon! Nasty rash there Puss, but no boots   Thought Sharke needed some support, so when I ordered terrain from Alternative Armies, I added a certain Sergeant. He's a BIG unit! Thought it was only a few m...
