Medieval Scots - A replacement army - second set of three spear units added

I  have, after much soul searching (no I could not find mine either), decided that I really should stretch my Pictish spearmen a whole 1000 years. 300ish to 1300 ish, so really stretching the whole Pict-morph-thing now. So 10mm to replace the fallen over the winter, this will be fun (18 months later, and summer is on the way and I finally started them)
This means a restart and finish with my Scots army back where I started with them for DBM, a successful army, but before MeG came out I had not touched them in 10 years, then I sold my 15mm version of them in 2014 (and then were instantly stolen from my late friend's car).
So, back to the 1300s version.
1315 to be exact.

A project I've been putting off for years, but now I have started the Medieval Scots spearmen from c.1315 with Pendraken figures and flags.
Got this lot finished just in time for this weekend's MeG tournement.
More Scots spears and the generals

Another 25 bases of spears (249 figures, and 8 general types)

A unit

Back base doing a wheelie!

Back view, lots of beige from the yeomanry

Mixed unit of Bruce, Douglas and all the spares

Scots much!

Heather added too

This unit is mostly highland & islands figures

Are they hedgehogs, tortoises or..?

Get 'em lads!

Amazing how much variety you can have with two figures

Generals

Lots together!

Bonus points if you can name them!

Do like the poses here

I also went back and added heather to all the other bases.

First three units or 35 bases or 350 figures.

There's another couple of hundred figures to add

Top view

Shields are mostly hand painted with a few VVVV transfers

My view

Its a LOT of spears!

Medieval spears ordered from Leon are are now waiting to go, in the meantime, the worst wargaming sin, painting the general before the army!

Mounted version, wonder where Footsore got the idea for this pose from!

Hopefully our Scottish members will forgive my poor free-hand heraldry on him. Think I might go back and black outline the lions and reins

Do like him

Dismounted The Bruce.

28mm foot version from Footsore, loved the animation, and he will make a suitable 'Legandary general' with 10mm troops I feel!  Evil

Watch that axe, it's sharp!

I moved the arm pose on Krell to give him some depth For c£20 they are lot bigger, and a damn sight more affordabl...

Blizkeig Commander IV - Hasty Assault

Mark and Stephen took my British at 1750 points, with effectively the same lists as before, but with two turns of preprogrammed artillery and a turn of smoke to assault my 1100 points of Germans who were in dugouts and gunpits. I chose to defend the four hills near my baseline. I has three HMGs, three mortars, two command teams and six infantry platoons, with two PAK36s teams. PAK36s and mortars on the back hill, two infantry and an HMG on the front. Infantry and Mortars in the left hill as a flank guard British stalled, turn 1 they failed to reach the table, so it took them at least four turns to advance. Artillery had landed on the right-hand hill, and rear hill, but had failed to kill anything, even with two 8 gun batteries of 25lbers . My ambush was sprung out the thicket. British infantry advancing developed an unfortunate habit of getting hit by mortars and HMGs. The British in turn 6 cleared the central hill with armour, but needed to get at least three infantry stand...
