28mm Female Soviet figures from Bad Squiddo

Second rifle squad for my Soviets

Bases with slightly more greenery than the other two squads (once they have been used a few times I'm sure they will be mixed in and no one will notice)

Bad Squiddo does do nice sculpts

All look ready for action

Two more snipers

Why two more?  Most rules only use one! Xenos Rampant uses squads of five figures, I could just call it a reduced or single model unit, but why not!

"Come here..."

Atmospheric shot

Missed a rifle(wo)man out on the last batch, she heralds a second rifle squad that is assembled and ready to go.

These will be one of three forces, depending on my mood:

AVBCW Singer Ladies Defense Committee
Defenders of Stalingrad for Bolt Action (only ever played 1 game)
Soviet Witch Hunters for Xenos Rampant
Looks like Tommy's favour with the Singer ladies Defense Committee R&D has paid off, here they come with lot's of experimental weapons that Uncle Stalin has kindly sent through (rumours of air drops and microdots abound)! He's provided the sheet steel, they've made the SMGs!

Rifle squad (will be boosted to 10 figures for games with some of the command figures)

I really tried to get the uniforms accurate

"For Small Heath!"
"Don't you mean the Motherland?"

SMG squad

Advancing

Useful whem fighting through the back-to-backs!

Top down view, it's a lot of shattered brickwork.

Command team, medic, leader, radio

Had a lot of fun with the basing

The nedic does have a red cross

Maxim MMGs

That's a lot of firepower

I only ordered one set in the Kickstarter, but when I opened my mortar pack, there was a Maxim set in the pack instead. Annie is such a legend and sent me the mortars right away!

The aforementioned mortar and anti-tank rifle, I have straightened the barrel since!

This might annoy something, if not, it will revert to its late war use as a sniper rifle.

I've appear to have quite a lot of support weapons. Maybe I should get more infantry?

Dzulbhars & Dina

A sapper and mine detecting dog

Lyudmila Pavlichenko: Sniper Ace. Joining my sniper squad (two more to buy and add for a squad of five)

Suitably heroic pose

Wistful look for the killer of 300+ enemies
more soon(ish)..

Blizkeig Commander IV - Hasty Assault

Mark and Stephen took my British at 1750 points, with effectively the same lists as before, but with two turns of preprogrammed artillery and a turn of smoke to assault my 1100 points of Germans who were in dugouts and gunpits. I chose to defend the four hills near my baseline. I has three HMGs, three mortars, two command teams and six infantry platoons, with two PAK36s teams. PAK36s and mortars on the back hill, two infantry and an HMG on the front. Infantry and Mortars in the left hill as a flank guard British stalled, turn 1 they failed to reach the table, so it took them at least four turns to advance. Artillery had landed on the right-hand hill, and rear hill, but had failed to kill anything, even with two 8 gun batteries of 25lbers . My ambush was sprung out the thicket. British infantry advancing developed an unfortunate habit of getting hit by mortars and HMGs. The British in turn 6 cleared the central hill with armour, but needed to get at least three infantry stand...
