10mm Pendraken WW1 Germans for Nik

Nik asked me to paint his WW1 Germans and British, so with a spare five minutes in my schedule, here they are.

An infantry unit with machine gun stand

Yes, I did do cuffs, collars, facings, tail piping, trouser seams and helmet numbers!

But where one goes, they do not go alone. All six units of infantry

Not bad since I only started them last Monday

Because they would not fit in the light box with their infantry, all six machine gun attachements

Do not want to be down range of that

Uhlans with their attached machine guns

Fun fact I did not know, German cavalry used tubular steel lances in WW1!

Spot the deliberate mistake?

Nik and I realised the gun shields are on backwards (Nik blamed a 'Red Wine incident'), I tried to take them apart but they were stuck fast!

Commanders (I know it's terribly unhistoric, but the temptation to do a couple of uncovered Pucklehaubs was too much)

Back of the commanders

Of course, they need suitable opposition. Here are the British.

The random miniatures in my lead pile thread

Hi all, As the months go on, I am finding more random stuff that does not fit into any catagory is creeping it's way up to the surface of my lead mountain. I decided a few years back, rather than just throw it back like one of Nobby's escaped socks, I would actually paint some of them.   Nemisis the Warlock - Khaos; Deadlock; the Warlock; the Shape of Things to Come; the Lord of the Flies; Holder of the Sword Sinister; The Death Bringer One of my all-time favourite 2000AD characters (2000AD is a British sci-fi based comic for those not from the fair shores of Blighty). "Creedo!" I got hold of two of these on Evil Bay, one uncommon (yellow base rim), one rare (red base rim), so I trashed the rare one (and kept the base elsewhere). This is a simple conversion of a heroclix figure,  Excessus, Sword Sinister replaced, base ripped off and new one sculpted, undercoated figure,  completly  repainted, flying stem attached. Sometimes, you just need a seri

Marine booster pack painted up, group photos! Mixed bag About 100 extra points on table!  "Did I miss the photoshoot?" *FACEPALM* These are the ones I've been waiting for!    But before that, more tarantulas Top view - these are the 'offical GW ones' Leviathon seige dreadnoughts Front on Nearly 20mm these Heraldry on Back view Swear two of them are armed with tennis balls!
