Legio Imperialis: Emperor's Pointy Sticks vs White Scars

Lists attached underneath

No one is quite sure why they were fighting. We claim they hadn't returned the fiver they had borrowed. They claim we lost a dessert fork from their regimental tea set, either way, two loyalist legions are at arms with each other!
Michael and I agreed 2500 points of Legio Imperialis (which we both agreed after is waaaaay too many points for an evening), set up and had a lot of fun!
This time, my legion of The Emperor's Pointy Sticks (pretending to be Ultramarines) was joined by the Warlord titan Frank'n'Furter. Somewhere in the ruins in the middle, the lost dessert fork resides. Back left for me and Michael, are both our air wings, with Michael having a lot of troops ready to be deposited on table by air lift, supported by heavy armour, and on the top right his new biker contingent. I used my usual massed firepower of teh EPS, backed up by land raiders and predators and a horde of dreadnought...

Man his armour can shift! He's on teh objectives turn 1, and my fighters are having to dogfight with his.

Three on two, this was never going to end well (we did survive interception fire, but were blown out the air again in the main firing phase)!

On the left, Frank starts firing at visible targets, wiping out two units on his own! We both advance on the objectives in the centre and on the left, with my newly painted biker squad taking their time. A thunderchicken arrives to deposit Michael's dreadnaughts down field.

We did find that my shooting had unusual effects on Michael's troops, as when hit, he had a nasty tendency to run away! Saying that, my predators aren't too happy here an leg it too.

On the left, Michael did have a squad of troops, deployed in the buildings, but the titan had put several large holes in them! His missile armed troops to their left had utterly squashed my tactical marines and rhinos I had tasked with taking the left hand objective! In the centre, his marines took a battering from the my tactical boys. On the right, he takes the objective while my Land Raiders cut through a speeder bike squad. The main boon was I took out nearly all of Michael's gunships.

The firefight around the ruins heats up. I lost a pair of landies there too. My bikers moved up to support. Frank lords it over all.

In the centre, my assault marines jump in with great effect. Taking the objective.

At the end of turn two, Michael had air superiority. Both sets of terminators had jumped into support the fight in teh centre, and both had blown their landing by scattering badly! No one was contesting the right hand objective, as Michael blew away my Tactical marines that were delivered by rhinos, then broke in the area himself! My tacticals had acted like real EPS troopers, shooting lots, hitting zero! The left hand objective had all to play for again as Frank had levelled the area.

End result after two turns was a slight win for Michael as he held more objectives turn 1. Turn 2 was allowing me to catch up, and I suspect if we had fought on past turn 3, I would have taken the centre and left. The right was to fight over. I would have moved my assault marines into his backfield, and my terminators would have had a hard fight against his. The death toll horrendous, as you would expect with the dark future. But then, we turned the lights on!

Great game, good laughs. Next time, less points.

Warhammer Old World - Goblins vs Empire, Batlle of The Hilly Hill

"Oi, where's the rest of the army?" Stumpy Jason turned round to the musician Thumpy Jason. "We's only playing 1000 points!" "Oh right. But why are there more Empire 'ooomans than us then?" the Goblin Wolfrider capatin pondered. Mort and I met up for a game of Warhammer Old World. I chose my Goblins, with only 1000 points. This led to me taking a unit of spears, with the army standard, a unit of archers, a spear chucker and some wolf riders. A level 1 mage, my general on a giant squig and Stumpy Jason rounded out my selection. I was tooled up with magic standards and characters, so half my points were tied up in characters. Mort had two units of mounted pistolliers, a spear unit, two detachments , one of handgunners, one of halbardiers, and a small unit of knights. Two characters were embedded in his spears and one pistolliers, and a mage strode forwards with the halbardiers. My wolves and general went left, archers, spears, bolt chucker and...

Mortal Gods - Three Sided scrap - finding the treasure.

Typhon woke up, his head was banging, and there would definitely be a new scar on hi sarm... "Nice to see you can take a knock too!" Leandros looked over at the archer. Polykratos sat on a nearby boulder, helmet and shield at his feet, sword bloodied, he was smiling at his two fellow fighters. "Nice to see you two sleepy heads. By the way, we won! Spartans and Etruscans all sent packing, treasures secrured!" Dave, David and I met up for a game of Mortal Gods. Mark was meant to be joining us, but he had to call off. This is only a quick report, as we were haing too much of a laugh! Six objecties were scattered across the field, which you have to find and hold until the end of turn 5. One would go live on a roll of '6', if an action was expended on it. The others then are empty. Three sides means two corners and an edge. 450 points each. I was nearest, Dave the other corned, David the opposite edge.My standard warband took to the field, with their eyes firmly...
