Frostgrave - The Well of Dreams and Sorrows

Chris chose the scenario tonight, and we went for 'The Well of Dreams and Sorrows', which if the magician manages to spend a turn drinking from, it gains 100 Experience.
A scatter of Chris's terrain. I was entering from this side, Chris the other, the well was situated centrally.

My treasure tokens, and my band, one Jason the Thug was off wounded. I had bought an extra thug (who also had suffered from the red coat in the wash incident). I had hired a barbarian to add some extra grunt to my band. Jacinta was healed (that's 100GC I'll never again).
Front Line, Left to right: Jason the Archer, Jason da Thief, Jason da Barbarian, Sir Jason Da Knight.
Mid line, LtoR: Jason at Arms, Jason da Thug, Jason da Thug.
Back: Jason the Apprentice and Jacinta da Witch (both my magic users had managed to cast 'familiar' and upped their health, after last time, I'll need it).

Chris brings his dwarves to bear.

My gang splits in two, the Apprentice to the right with the Knight, The Archer and the Red Thug, Jacinta and the rest to the left.

Chris's Dwarves advance, and his dog that caused me so many issues last time flanks right.

Chris and I both used telekinesis to try to move chests about.

Chris somehow manges to get across table quickly. My heavy hitters form up to escort the Witch to the  well.

Feeling threatened, the gang move up to a position to get Jacinta to slurp. I did manage to cast Poison dart on both the dog and Chris's main magic user, dropping them to one action each. I also managed to get my knight in front of a chest.

Which Chris closed on quickly. A barrage of Elemental bolts from Chris was starting to hurt my boys, but Jacinta manages to slurp from teh well and gain 100XP.

Chris is closing in on me from all sides! I bring Jason At Arms up to help (very bottom of the shot).

Right under his noses, Jason Da Thief swipes a chest of treasure away! Can he now outrun the Treasure hunter piling towards him?

At the well, the fighting intensifies. His dog heads in, but cannot attack, while two thugs and a hunter try to take on my Knight.

Jason da knight is thankfully pushed back and steps away, but with only 1 health left, he is in trouble! Jason at Arms and Jason da Barbarian also shove back the thug and dog. In the distance Chris makes off with two chests (as I am with mine too) Chris sends a warrior round my flank. He also catches my thief with his treasure hunter. This could be awkward, as I'm rather outclassed in combat here!

Jason da Knight is brought down, ballads will be sung in his honour (if we knew what a ballad was)!

Somehow, Jason da Thief wins a round of combat, pushing back Chris's treasure hunter, and gaining himself enough space to turn tail and leg it with his chest!

Jason da Barbarian dispatches a thug. The barrage of Elemental Bolts continues towards my Witch.

Jason da Barbarian is brutally felled (and it was his first time out too)!

Jason at arms puts the dog out of it's poisoned misery!

Chris's heavily armoured warrior knocks Jason Da Bow off his feet (to be honest, he hadn't hit anyone all game)!

Jason at arms, despite being outnumbered 3to1 sells himself valiantly trying to stop Chris escaping with a third chest. He downs a thug.

But he does not last long, my injured pile, plus including Jacinta who was hit by an Elemental Bolt as she tried to leave the table! She was Badly Injured, again (another 100GC down the pan), Jason da Barbarian and Sir Jason were both killed outright, Jason da Bow was fine, as was Jason at Arms.

Chris's dog was killed, but his two thugs were unscratched!

Another cracking game. I managed to get more spells off than Chris, but because Chris managed to knock Jacinta out with a Bolt, he gained a massive 150EXP more than me!
I picked up a magic dagger +1 a useful upgrade for someone, a ring of Will (worth 300GC, will probably sell that to pay for Jacinta's recovery) and a Grimore with the necromantic spell 'Reveal Death'. I also picked up 150 GC and 350 Exp. I used last game's elixir of life to bring back Sir Jason Da Knight, but will have to buy a replacement for Jason da Barbarian (maybe an apothecary at this rate might help).

Soldiers of Napoleon - French Imperial Guard vs Austrians - bad day to be a hussar.

Whilst down in Wiltshire for the Devizes comp, Nigel very kindly gifted me his 10mm Imperial Guard division from FOGN (Field of Glory Napoleonics), and although I had rebased the cavalry and generals (including painting some), the guard themselves were not finished. I scrabbled together a 900 Soldiers of Napoleon list (which turns out to be illegal, read the rules Will), and fielded it Vs Mark's undefeated Austrians. My army, including reserves, was twelve units and Mark could basically do that in two brigades! My list : Two brigades of two five Old Guard infantry, with two twelve pounders and full cassions. Guards Heavy cavalry brigade. Five Grenadiers a Chevel. Five Guards Dragoons. Three batteries of 8lber guns. Guards light cavalry brigade. Four Guards lancers, four Guards Chasseurs a Chevel.
