Timecast tarmac roads for modern games.  https://www.timecastmodels.com/flexible-terrain Must have bought these prior to lockdown. Finally got round to painting them between other batches and while England Lionesses played Sweden (it went to penalties) I added road markings (and I spent a good while looking up German junction markings). Markings are a tad too wide for scale, but I figured that once they're on table they'll be fine.     Timecast 's amazing marshy ground and rough ground. Painted up really easily, look fantastic. Just finished these in time for  Warfare , Rough ground Marshes , with added Vallejo still water Thank you Mark and Barrie, truly excellent!

 Stephen and I got together for another game of BKCIV in the Western Desert. My forces were unchanged from last time, while Stephen brought a mix of Italian armour, infantry and a German recee company and we played 'Encounter' again. Eight turns of fun to go! Colonel Antrobus (Family motto ' Forsitan postea ') and the 3/139th Borcester Light Heavy Infantry had arrived further into the Western Desert. No one is quite sure how they got there in the first place. They just sort of arrived in Alexandria one day, and when reporting to HQ for orders, after  having been told to 'Naff off and get lost', had picked what they thought was a nice, quiet, sector. The Borcester's were not looking for action, but again, action has found them. The desert, nothing deployed yet, but much closer terrain than before, allowing us cover and defence. Turn 1 : All of us (including Stephen's two commanders on CV9 and one on CV8) failed to appear. Turn 2 :  The Borches...

A while back, a friend had to deal with the estate of a wargamming collegue. Amongst the figures were a selection of 10mm Pendraken Sudan figures, mostly Anglo-Egyptian, some painted, some not. Extra Anglo-Egyptian forces, quite a few of them. Starting, of course, with two more units of Sudenese. 2/3 view Side on There's something out there It's getting quite a large force now, but quantity doesn't equal quality (I'm looking at you Comrade Stalin) An extra unit of Egyptians painted up like the original owner did them Fire line Will use them as Turkish or Garrison troops, as opposed to field forces 'Tiz a simple paint job, but I like it! Bangs Prussian supplied limbers Supplied by Leon and team Do like a limber team, gives an army depth Escorted teams too Think of running these in a campaign, so had better get on with the Mahdists I predict a LOT of camels being ordered and on my painting table soon   Another unit of Egyptia...
