The Ambassador flexed his shoulder as the Medbot hovered away, "I know its 100%, but it still aches, it's weird..."
The conversation ended as a pressure wave pushed them both a step (or hover) sideways. A bemused looking sharklike creature was now in the Imperial visiting tank, and a small pedestal with what looked like a cat bed had appeared near the Medbot. By the ancient, ornate (and recently repaired) Ambassadorial sofa, a small table, of a design completely out of character with every other piece of furniture in the room, appeared, followed by several small bowls landing on it, one containing pink and randomly wriggling foodstuffs, another a selection of nuts and bolts and a blue and yellow spray can with a red top. Beside these, teetering on the edge, a metal wine cooler and what appeared to be a vintage bottle of Champagne materialised. The Medbot reached out a manipulator field for a few nuts and bolts.
"Snacks, must be a show night!" The Ambassador shrugged, "best expect Imperial company".
"Humph! You know providing us with snacks is pointless, we have no digestive systems or even mouths to eat with!' The disembodied voice of the Diplomatic droid called out through the house. There was the crunching sound from the Medbot, and fillings of metal could be seen under its front sensors, above a mouth might be, it almost looked embarrassed.
Two seconds later, the ice appeared over the rough position of the champagne, dropped , as an afterthought, and being several times the hight of the table, and scattered across the floor.
"At least he tried!" The diplomatic robot hove into the room, sweeping the ice away with manipulator fields..
"You know, that might actually be real Champagne!" The Ambassador looked impressed, picking up the bottle, "if they kept in a vacuum, it should be pretty good! Wonder where they found it?'
The droid shrugged (or approximated one) "I have, of course, scanned it to submolecular levels for threats . It contains a dangerous mixture of mid-21st Century rotten grape juice, pesticides, fertilizers and addictive sugar solutions."
"When you mean rotten..."
"The grapes appears to have been left to go rotten, fermenting, then deliberately fermented again with added sugar, reaching approximately 11.576412489% alcohol, Consumption may result in slowed down brain messages blurred vision and speech, loss of balance and memory,, may cause swelling and fat buildup.."
POP!
Fizzzz!
"You mean, I might get drunk?" The ambassador laughed as he poured himself a glass. "We do have some of the best medical facilities in teh Galaxy, I'm sure I can be put back together again, without a hangover!"
He nearly drooped the glass as a second, larger, pressure wave pushed him and the Diplomatic droid across the room. The Medbot, nestled happily into the cat tower, only reached out a manipulator field to grab a few more nuts and bolts.
The next sound that assaile them was the noise made by several tonnes of brine being forcefully displaced by the huge, pearlescent shell, purple, unblinking eye and armour tipped tentacles of the Auran Emperor. The water washed down the side of the tank, into a purpose built collection trench, to be added back to the tank later.
His thoughts blasted into their minds like a pipe organ "Good to see you settling down , I have a real traeat to share with you lot tonight!"
"Your Imperial Majesty, we have been expecting you," The Ambasssador bowed deeply, as he could feel the house security fields disapate, and weapons platforms powering down further away.
A bightly coloured hologram of a nebula sprang up in the room, it zoomed into a volume of space where two fleets massed.
"Look, we have located a Lost Colonial fleet ready for action again through your satillite feeds, but who are they fighting my Human Ambassador friend?" A tentacle snaked out, narrowly missing the shark like creature, which appeared as releaved as a shark could look, before another two tentacle snapped it in half, spilling red blood into the pool and the Emperor's beak bit into it, ravenously.
"Standard formation, Battlestart Pegasus, two older battlestars, Galactica and Bellerophon, and an exploerer class Valkyrie. Better known as Peggy, Gladys, Billy, and Val," the Ambassador uttered, looking closely at the Lost Colonial fleet. "Fighters already out and ready to go too, really spoiling for a fight."

"Excellent,, this will be entertaining!" The Emperor's voice gloated in their minds, "You humans don;t do colourful fleets like ours do you?"
"Some are, just not these two...".
The Ambassador looked at the Holographic projection of the second fleet, "Interesting, The Sycthe Empire. They don't usually come out this far. Also describe themselves as Loyalists to some near legendary Emperor, who they claim through near magical powers guides them all! A Imperial Star Destroyer, A Victory Star Destroyer in support, two Ventador Frigates and three older dreadnaughts in a flotilla."
"Not sure loonies is appropriate any more," the Diplomatic Droid shot the Medbot a look over some unsaid transmission, "and shift over. There must be room for two droids up there!"
"Umaulmufal!"
"No, we are not taking bets today, and don't speak with your mouth full! Hope you've not eaten all the 8mms, they are my favourite!"
"They appear to be rushing towards three satillites. Wonder why?" The Ambassador mused.
The Emperor's psychic laugh echoed through their minds, "Don't you recognise them my friend!"
"Oh, they are ours, no wonder you are enjoying this!" The Diplomatic Droid sat up, "More violation of our space and territories!"
"You were the ones who wanted our aid little droid, it has it's costs..." The Emperor's thoughts had a barbed edge to them, but his usual level of violence had yet to appear. His thoughts continued, "They appear to be after information," it quipped. "But rest assured, we already know the contents of your spy satillites in that sector, and will share all the information back to you presently!"
"Why does that NOT surprise me!"Once you hae taken your cut," The Diplomatic Droid failed to live up to it's name for a beat. A tentace twitched, but nothing futher happened. All three members of the Terran Diplomatic Corps Embassay looked at eachother simultaniously.
"Brave move by the Colonists, peeling off the Val to grab that data," The Ambassador continued, trying not to let further emotions show, "While an Acclimator heads to the central satillite to do the same.".
"The Imperial Loyalist Victory Class has parked up against that first satillite. Thought those things were slow and obselete?" The Medbot asked.
"When did you start taking an interest in this stuff?" The Diplomtic droid enquired.
The Medbot made an approximation of a shrug, "Since we started having regular entertainment night."
"Val has also parked up. Knowing the Colonists, this could be an interesting race." The Ambassador gestured.
"Ahchachachaconga..." The Medbot started humming.
"Is that some ancient Terran warchant?" The Emperor asked.
"Really, it's not." The Ambassador looked at the Medbot,, who was suddenly quiet, "I think the Colonials are channeling Nelson."
"Now that's a name even I have heard of." The Diplomatic Droid added., "The Famous pre-jump Admiral."
The Emperor had obvioulsy downloaded some information, and he added "I will absorb that with pleasure later, looks like a truely bloodthirsty type, a great leader indeed."
"Look at the Empire Dreadnaught flotilla coming in fast, supported by the other Acclimator, all guns blazing!" The Ambassador raised an eyebrow.
"Ohh, Val was a sitting duck!" The Ambassador groaned, "trying to stop and dowload the satillite data."
The Emperor smirked, (if a telepahic thought could be a smirk), "Was, now she's a molecular cloud. Note the Acclimator has evaporated too under the Glady's guns."
The Medbot looked upset, "So many young souls."
"The first Acclimator has downloaded it's data dump," The Emperor noted with interest, "The Colonials are trying hard to breach the shields of the Imperial Star Destroyer, but the Imperial's shield regeneration technology is far superior to the Colonials and keeps rebooting, while the Dreadnoughts are sneaking round the back of the Battlestars, all that armour can only stop so much damage."
"The Victory Class is having all sorts of trouble downloading the data. It's not found a compatable code." The Emperor intoned.
"Ohhh, and the flotilla is toast!" The Diplomatic Droid smirked.
"So is the Billy," The Medbot frowned. "This is getting bloody. Gladys is in a pretty poor shape too, despite all her armour."
The Ambassador shuddered, "There she goes."
"Looks like the two sides have worked out the how to use fighters offensively, rather than just using them to catching each other's missile attacks."
"Think the Imperial in the Victory have tried all sorts of ancient codes, so far I have records of them having tried, BASIC, DOS, AMSDOS, C64, COBAL, KOBAL, C, C+, Python, Vic20, nothing is working. Our analysts are going to love this sort of information on their technology, they are almost analog!" The Emperor laughed.
"Loks like Peggy is on her own and trying to get away," The Ambassador noted.
The Diplomatic Droid shrugged, "Peggy isn't getting away too quickly is she?"
"She's in real trouble. Those combined weapons from the Star Destroyers are really hurting her." The Ambassador added. "But looks like the Victory finally worked out what to download and is moving off."
"They really have hunted them down, Pegasus is no more." The Emperor gloated.
"Well, with two satillites downloaded, and no Colonists left, the Empire has the day. Lovely to see you all, " With that, and the approximation of a wink in their minds, The Emperor ported out, leaving the brine in his tank to snap into the void he had left.
"He left in a hurry, did we miss something?" The Diplomatic Droid sarcastically enquired.
"Only that you are still in one piece!" The Medbot laughed, spitting metal flakes out.
A displacement wave hit them all again, as they staggered, an armoured tentacle plunged through the droid.
"Knew I missed something!" The Emperor laughed.
So, Sunjester out fought Last Hussar with Void Admiral as as I introduced them both to the rules this week. LH as since bough them for himself though, so the loss can't have been that bad! Great game, they really picked up teh rules and special abilities quickly. Pleasure to run and get more of my fleets on table.
